Former Madhya Pradesh CM and Union Minister for Sanitation and Drinking Water Uma Bharti had on Sunday said that she won’t contest any elections for next three years.
She said that she would remain in BJP and would make herself available for campaigning for the party as and when possible.
Speaking to the media at her residence in Bhopal, the MP from Jhansi claimed that the decision has nothing to do with the age factor as reported by a section of media. I still have 17 years left, she said.
“It’s not about fatigue, it’s regarding incapability (physical) and my body needs a balanced nine to five like a daily routine for at least three years without any constraints,” Bharti said, adding that she has no plans to enter the Rajya Sabha in this duration.
